Tamarack Lodge is situated on nearly 4 acres of forest land at the edge of Burton Creek State Park, one mile east of Tahoe City.
The Tamarack Lodge is among the oldest and most popular lodges on Lake Tahoe’s north shore, located on the uphill side of the intersection of Highway 28 and Lower Lake Forest Road. Today, the Tamarack Lodge continues its well-earned reputation as a comfortable, friendly retreat for the weary traveler offering 21 rooms and cabins. As ever, its rates are among the most reasonable on the lake. The lodge is situated on nearly 4 acres of forest land at the edge of Burton Creek State Park, one mile east of Tahoe City, at the edge of the forest since 1927.

Travel I-80 to Truckee. When you get close to Truckee take exit 185 for Highway 89 south towards Tahoe City. Follow Highway 89 all the way to Tahoe City (approx. 14 miles). When you get to Tahoe City you will come to the only traffic light in town. The traffic light is in front of Savemart Supermarket. At the traffic light you want to go straight. You are now on Highway 28, also called North Lake Boulevard. From the traffic light you will drive approximately 1.5 miles, this will take you through town and a short distance out of town. Tamarack Lodge is on the left side of the highway.
