Put on your best costume and join us for Auburn’s Safe Trick or Treat. The fun starts Friday afternoon! Downtown and Old Town merchants will be offering treats for your little Goblins and Fairies. Look for the “Trick or Treat” signs and balloons in the windows of participating businesses. Rumor has it that many Creepy Characters will be in Auburn that day. Don’t miss the Costume Contest at 4:00pm at Herschel Young Park in Old Town (corner of Lincoln Way and Sacramento Street). Contest sponsored by Grocery Outlet.

Looking for something to do with your little ones on Halloween morning? Festive fun is coming straight to you! Have a magical morning hunting two dozen hidden nut-free, candy-filled Halloween eggs in your front yard. After an early morning egg hunt, enjoy a holiday themed activity bag left at your front door. This holiday tradition is sure to be a hit with your little ones. Please verify your street address on file, including any gate codes. Eggs are hidden in front yards of Roseville residents by 9:00 am.

Día de los Muertos, Day of the Dead, is a Mexican holiday where the deceased are honored and their spirits are welcomed for an earthly visit to reunite with friends and family. The holiday is a festive time to celebrate the lives of loved ones who have passed away but still live on in our hearts and memories. In Mexico, the festival is an exuberant celebration with music, preparation of altars, figures of skeletons, incense, food, drinks, flowers, and photographs. Join us for our Día de los Muertos Gala to celebrate the richness of life in our abundant region. We will commemorate the day as they would in Mexico. The night will be full of vibrant street food with interactive stations, custom cocktails, music, traditional face painting, and even prizes for the best dressed! You won’t want to miss this party to celebrate a great cause in support of KidsFirst’s mission to treat and prevent child abuse!

Welcome to the 7th annual Huffin’ for the Stuffin’ Turkey Trot presented by the City of Lincoln Recreation Department. Our 5K & 10K runs are LIVE with professional timers this year as we continue our festive engagement with families and community. There is a .17 mile Donut Dash for children 4 to 7 years old to take part in. This event is a FUN RUN and meant for community engagement & family FUN! There will be 1st, 2nd & 3rd place finisher awards as well as general finisher award for participants who sign up before the deadline. The proceeds from our run helps to support the City of Lincoln Recreations Scholarship Fund which helps offer scholarships (financial aid) to cover fees for our recreation programs to families in need. Registration: Registration is now open thru November 25th 2024. Please register by November 1st to receive a shirt and finisher award!

Come on out & celebrate all that you’re thankful for with friends & family at this year’s Turkey Trot in Roseville! Plan to arrive no later than 8:15am in order to park and arrive at the starting area for announcements. Race announcements and course instructions given at 8:30am. The race starts promptly at 9:00am. Parking for this event is FREE! Take advantage of Roseville’s convenient parking. Refreshments provided for all registered participants following the race. All adult participants receive Unisex long sleeve race shirt. Youth will receive 100% cotton shirts. Late registrants are not guaranteed shirts and sizes. Register online by November 1, 2024 to guarantee your shirt and size! We will be accepting non-perishable food donations on race day. These food donations with be given to Saint Vincent de Paul, Roseville, to help stock their Food Locker program.

Get creative this holiday season. Design and build your own gingerbread house and enter it into the annual gingerbread house contest. All entries will be on display at 316 Vernon Street, December 4-December 19 for the community to enjoy.

Come visit the Tree Grove and holiday festivities at Town Square. Viewing of the trees and holiday music continues nightly through December 13. Local businesses, organizations and schools have the opportunity to decorate trees in the Square.

It’s the most wonderful time of year! The City’s Christmas tree is officially lit tonight on the Square. Experience an old fashion celebration and holiday cheer with decorating cookies, visiting Santa, kids activity zone, music, food and celebration. The weather is even forecasted for some snow!

You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout, I’m telling you why, Santa Claus is coming to town! This year, Santa is visiting neighborhoods on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings December 10-19, 2024. Santa will start his route at 6:00pm each night. We anticipate each route will run 1 to 1.5 hours. Although Santa lives in the North Pole, he doesn’t want to risk getting sick before Christmas so all visits are weather permitting. (Look for updates on the Roseville Parks, Recreation & Events Facebook page by 5pm on each evening for changes due to weather.) Santa would like to visit all neighborhoods, he just can’t fit everyone into his busy schedule but hopes to get to more neighborhoods next year. Santa will also not be able to visit with children one on one during his neighborhood tour.

Bring your treasured family copy of Handel’s Messiah songbook, or buy or rent one in the lobby at the concert, choose your seat by vocal sections or select any open seat as this concert has general, not assigned, seating. The Auburn Symphony Presents: Masterworks II – Sublime Sibelius! Jean Sibelius’ first symphony is one of the most romantic pieces ever written and is one of Maestro Murray’s personal favorites. You will love this idyllic, musical gem that explores the entire palette of sounds that a symphony orchestra can create! Soloist Jesse Barrett, a true virtuoso on the oboe, will charm audiences with his melodic interpretation of Mozart’s Concerto for Oboe.

The Auburn Symphony Presents their annual Family Concert, which will be “Lemony Snicket: The Composer is Dead”. Beloved Narrator Omari Tau will be narrating! This show emphasizes and engages with youth in the audience to learn about the different instrument sections of the orchestra. Jenna Son, Grand Prize Winner of the 2024 Young Artists Competition will perform Sibelius’ Violin Concerto, Op. 47. An Instrument Petting Zoo immediately follows the concert lead by Auburn Symphony musicians and Placer High School Music students. Open to all ages, meet the musicians and try out an instrument!

An interactive Melodrama adapted by T.S. Forsyth from the script by Dion Boucicault, based upon the novel by Alexandre Dumas (author of The Three Musketeers). Conjoined identical twins, separated at birth but connected through their senses, seek to defend and revenge their family. Comedy, adventure, romance, action (including sword fights) and more. Performed interactively (like the 2024 Placer Rep hit Frankenstein).

The Quarry Amphitheater Presents: Y&T! Y&T (originally known as Yesterday & Today) predated and influenced many of the bands that would later define the hard rock and metal scenes of the 1980s. The band’s high-energy performances and dedication to their craft helped them develop a loyal fanbase, and their influence is acknowledged in the memoirs of major rock acts from that era.

This play is an adaptation of the very first novel by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle featuring the character Sherlock Holmes that includes a clash of wills and ways of life. “A Study in Scarlet” is the debut novel of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle featuring the iconic detective Sherlock Holmes first published in 1887. This classic mystery novel takes readers on a captivating journey as Holmes and Watson investigate a complex murder case that leads them into the heart of the criminal underworld.
