Kelly Lake is perfect for those who enjoy floating quietly on still waters at isolated destinations. An uncrowded atmosphere and absolutely breathtaking views provide quiet solitude while drifting on its peaceful waters. Meanwhile, nearby Lake Valley Reservoir also boasts a quiet atmosphere for a calming paddling experience. Trout fishing is particularly good at both lakes, though kayak angling is excellent at Lake Valley Reservoir, where you can catch both trout and catfish.

This is a popular trail to the North Fork of the American River and is used by hikers, bicyclists and equestrians.
This steep trail has everything needed for a great day of exploration: rugged mountain canyons, a beautiful stream with waterfalls, a wide variety of plant and animal life, gold rush era history, and panoramic views of the Middle Fork American River.
Piped drinking water, wheelchair accessible restrooms and some vault toilets. Activities include swimming, fishing, boating, water skiing, jet skiing, trails for biking, hiking, and horseback riding.
