The cabin showcases Tahoe history, from the Washoe people through the logging and mining eras and the establishment of the tourism industry at Lake Tahoe. Exhibits include Native American baskets, resort memorabilia, historical photographs, clothing, oral histories, maps, archival documents, newspapers and artifacts.
Located on W Lake Boulevard before Fanny Bridge crosses the Truckee River.
The Colfax Heritage Museum contains an eclectic collection of items that tell the history of the Colfax area, as well as illustrate the strong relationship to and influence of the building of the Transcontinental Railroad.
The Auburn Placer Performing Arts Center produces the On Stage at the State Theatre live series, offering entertainment for a broad regional audience. On Stage at the State Theatre features live music, dance, children’s shows, community events and play performances.
The campus will ultimately include a welcome center, educational space, and administrative offices in the Log Lodge, as well as a gallery building, a boat shop, a collection storage facility, and maritime sculptural gardens.
