Gorgeous scenery, calm, and relaxing. Swim in the lake or hike on the trail that surrounds it. Set up camp right on a picturesque creek and fall asleep to the sound of running water. Wake up early and take a walk in the brisk morning air to the reservoir where you can swim out to a small island.

From Interstate 80: Take the Foresthill Road exit for 17 miles to the town of Foresthill.  Continue on the road for 9 miles to Sugar Pine Road.  Turn left and continue on Sugar Pine Road for 9 miles and take a right on the first road after the Sugar Pine Recreation Area sign.  Travel 1 1/2 miles to the campground.
