PRT Presents: Sherlock Holmes: The Sign of the Four
Placer Repertory Theater is excited to share this romantic, comedic detective play based on a few stories and the novel, The Sign of the Four, by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. This comedic play is suitable for all audiences.

Yoomén: A Celebration of Spring
Yoomén celebrates the coming of spring, a welcome time of new growth, and the guarantee of fresh foods and warmer weather. The cultural event features Native American dancers, performers and cultural demonstrators who showcase their exquisite skills working with natural materials to create baskets, jewelry, tools and more! The local Native artist community will also have artwork on view in the museum, and crafts and other goods will be sold by Native artisans. Native-inspired art and game stations for children and guided tours of the museum and site will also be available, including tours of the site’s famous ancient petroglyphs. Elders from surrounding Native communities will also be honored in ceremony for their cherished community contributions.

Rocklin Civic Celebration
Join the City of Rocklin at Johnson-Springview Park for the Rocklin Civic Celebration, a family-friendly event that brings the community together for a fun and educational evening. This event will showcase the work of city departments, offering interactive displays such as vehicles from the Police and Fire Departments and equipment from the Public Works Department. Residents can learn about upcoming projects, volunteer opportunities, and ways to get involved in the city. Families can enjoy activities like bounce houses, face painting, and balloon artistry, while everyone will enjoy live performances, delicious food from local vendors, and a spectacular firework show starting after dusk. AST Presents: Hard Miles
As the beginner bicyclists battle heatstroke, speed wobbles, and the greatest enemy of all cyclists — a chafed crotch — they must learn to stop fighting and ride together as a peloton. The bicycle serves not just as a means of transportation, but as a test; a way for each of these young men to see what they are truly capable of, physically, mentally, and emotionally. For years, Townsend led boys on 700-mile bike tours from Denver to the Grand Canyon, sleeping out under the stars.

Roseville’s “Friday Flicks” on this day will be showing the movie: Inside Out 2 (PG). Teenager Riley’s mind headquarters is undergoing a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected new emotions. Featuring both established and emerging local “makers,” the Rocklin Mini Maker Faire is a celebration for all ages featuring rockets and robots, digital fabrication, DIY science and technology, urban farming and sustainability, alternative energy, bicycles, unique hand-made crafts, music and local food, and educational workshops and installations. The Rocklin Mini Maker Faire follows the “big” Maker Faire model of celebrating invention, creativity, and resourcefulness, but is smaller in scale and showcases the wonders of Placer and Sacramento counties and beyond!
