Tahoe Live returns to Palisades Tahoe to welcome the 2025–26 winter season with an incredible lineup of world-class artists. Featuring headliners like Zeds Dead, Alison Wonderland, DJ Diesel, LSZEE, Porter Robinson, San Holo, Jessica Audiffred, Peekaboo, and more, this event promises an unforgettable weekend of music, snow, and mountain energy.

Ballet Rejoice’s “The Nativity” is an original full-length presentation of the Christmas story through dance, visual arts & live music. We welcome the community to come and experience this glorious presentation honoring Christ’s birth!

“A Christmas Carol; Or, The Miser’s Warning!”, adapted by C.Z. Barnett, is a heartwarming theatrical rendition of Charles Dickens’ beloved novella. First performed shortly after its 1843 publication, this enchanting play follows the journey of Ebenezer Scrooge, a miserly and isolated man, as he is guided by three magical spirits through Christmas Past, Present, and Future. Through this transformative adventure, Scrooge discovers the joy of generosity, the warmth of human connection, and the true spirit of Christmas. Barnett’s adaptation brings Dickens’ timeless themes of hope, redemption, and kindness to life, leaving audiences inspired and filled with holiday cheer.

Bring the whole family and enjoy the State Theatre Acting Company’s (STAC’s) presentation of the ageless classic It’s a Wonderful Life as a live 1940s radio broadcast in front of a “studio” audience at the First Congregational Church of Auburn. STAC’s ensemble cast brings the story of small-town idealist George Bailey to captivating life as events unfold one fateful Christmas Eve. This two-act show, with an intermission, will be in full costume with live Foley sound effects and beautiful, original projections to help set the scene. The running time is 2 hours.

The Tahoe Symphony Orchestra and Chorus will conclude their 17th Season with a production of HANDEL’S MESSIAH, along with seasonal carols that the audience will be most welcome to join in singing.

Ponderosa Cider’s 1st annual Holiday Bazaar & Ugly Sweater Party!!! Roam through our vendors to find unique holiday presents while sipping Ponderosa Cider. We will have music by the Wolf Creek Boys and Food by Pancho Villa BBQ. Don’t forget to wear your favorite ugly sweater, to get in the holiday mood!! The Auburn Symphony presents Masterworks II Concert: Amaryn Olmeda & Mozart 38! We’re bringing back one of our former Young Artists Competition Grand Prize winners, Amaryn Olmeda. She’s gone on to have a big international career, and we’re lucky to have her return to play Barber’s beautiful Violin Concerto. We’ll also feature Mozart’s Symphony No. 38 and a special spotlight on our wind section with Strauss’s Wind Serenade.

The Auburn Symphony presents the Family Concert: Peter and the Wolf! Our Family Concert is always a favorite – this time we’re performing Peter and the Wolf, narrated by the always-charismatic Omari Tau. It’s a great way to introduce kids (and grown-ups!) to the instruments of the orchestra. We’ll also hear from this year’s Young Artists Grand Prize winner, Sumanth Ganga, performing Creston’s Sonata for Alto Saxophone and we’ll perform Dvořák’s Slavonic Dances No. 8, Op. 46. An Instrument Petting Zoo immediately follows the concert lead by Auburn Symphony musicians and Placer High School Music students. Open to all ages, meet the musicians and try out an instrument!

The Auburn Symphony presents Masterworks III Strauss & Tchaikovsky! We welcome back soprano Carrie Hennessey for Strauss’s gorgeous Four Last Songs, paired with Tchaikovsky’s powerful Symphony No. 5. These are two of Maestro Murrays’ all-time favorite works, and they will leave a lasting impression.

Come experience “Symphony Under the Sky”! This special event, a collaboration between the Auburn Symphony and Placer Land Trust, brings you the joy of music in the great outdoors! Wander the easy walking trail on the preserve and find musician ensembles tucked in the trees… hear Mozart in the meadow or Bach just around the bend . . . choose your own adventure!

The Auburn Symphony presents the Season Finale: Saint-Saëns: The Organ Symphony! Every year, the Auburn Symphony invites you to travel “down the hill” with us to the acoustically spectacular venue, the Robert & Margrit Mondavi Center for the Arts at UC Davis. On this grand stage, we present larger orchestral works bringing in special guests, choirs, and other unique programs. We’ll wrap up the season in grand fashion at the Mondavi Center, with two audience favorites: Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2, featuring Parker Van Ostrand, a Young Artists Competition winner, and Saint-Saëns’ Organ Symphony. The acoustics at Mondavi make this an unforgettable experience every time. A bus is available for transport to and from Auburn (the Auburn Public Library parking lot at 350 Nevada Street, Auburn) for guests who would like to sit back and enjoy the ride with no parking hassle! Bus departs at 1:00 pm.
