If you’re a golfer who doesn’t like playing the same 18 holes time after time, Timber Creek and Sierra Pines is the place for you. 27 holes of great golf means there are more options for play than many other area courses. Sierra Pines stand-alone 9-hole course has even more variation with five tees for men and three for women — including an executive set for each! Throughout the three nines, 142 large and small bunkers define fairways and surround the greens.
Just up the road on Del Webb Boulevard from the Timber Creek Golf Course.
Up to 250 horses and their riders compete each year under a mid-summer full moon, starting near Squaw Valley and crossing the rugged passes and canyons of the Sierra Nevada.
This is a very steep and difficult trail, which involves numerous switchbacks.
Although it is primarily used by people placer mining along the river, other hikers are drawn to this area due to its easy grade, scenic beauty, and year round accessibility.
