Celebrate spring with the Sierra Foothills Audubon Society on a guided bird walk at the Auburn State Recreation Area near Cool.  This free, beginner-friendly 2.5-mile stroll winds through ponds, fields, and oak–pine woodlands—prime habitat during peak spring migration. Expect a mix of common foothill birds and special sightings like Yellow-breasted Chat, plus year-round residents such as White-tailed Kite and Phainopepla.
