Carnelian West offers 530 linear feet of beautiful public beach for you and your family to swim, build sandcastles or just lounge on the beach. Park for free at the site’s shared parking lot adjacent to Gar Woods Grill and Pier restaurant where you can enjoy Happy Hour on the lakefront. Parking is available throughout the lot — there are no designated beach or restaurant spaces — or arrive by bike or bus for your convenience! The site includes a lakefront promenade, benches, picnic tables, barbecues (bring your own charcoal), and restrooms. Gar Woods welcomes you to its pier, and provides boaters with access to day use mooring buoys. If you are planning a special event, the grassy area on the site can be rented/reserved though Gar Woods (530-546-3366).
