2nd Annual Kickball Match: City of Auburn VS Auburn Chamber of Commerce
This spirited event will feature a friendly competition between the City of Auburn and the Auburn Chamber of Commerce teams, with the City team returning as the defending champions from the inaugural match. The kickball game is a highlight of the Food Truck Fiesta, a free community event organized by the Auburn Area Recreation and Parks District.

Friday Flicks
Roseville’s “Friday Flicks” on this day will be showing the movie: Sonic 3 (PG). Sonic, Knuckles and Tails reunite against a powerful new adversary, Shadow, a mysterious villain with powers unlike anything they have faced before. With their abilities outmatched, Team Sonic must seek out an unlikely alliance. Gear up and dash over to the Sonic 3 Friday Flicks Pre-Party! Before Sonic’s latest adventure hits the big screen, enjoy exciting themed activities and indulge in delicious treats inspired by Sonic’s favorite snacks. Tickets for the Pre-Party are $12, while the movie showing itself is free. Concession Stand Treats: Assortment of snacks and goodies to enhance your movie-watching experience. From classic popcorn, pizza by the slice, to sweet and savory options, our concession stand is ready to satisfy your cravings. Supplies are limited.

Embark on a captivating flashlight tour of the ancient rock carvings at the Maidu Museum, where you’ll explore petroglyphs that are over a thousand years old. The unique lighting reveals intricate details of the carvings that can only be seen on this special tour. Don’t miss the chance to experience these rare rock formations in an entirely new light. Wear close-toed shoes. Flashlight is recommended but not required. Program not recommended for children under 6; children under 2 are free.

Auburn Symphony: Symphony & Art in the Park
Join us at Auburn’s School Park Preserve to kick off our new season at this FREE annual community event! Bring a blanket, low-back chairs and a special picnic, stake out your spot on the lawn or on the oak-studded hillside and wander through the park at your leisure. Enjoy local artist exhibits and meet the artists in-person from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. River Sisters In Harmony‘s drum circle kicks off the music at Stan Padilla’s stone sculpture from 5:00 to 6:00 pm, the Placer County Youth Orchestra performs from 6:00 to 6:40 pm and the Auburn Symphony takes the stage from 7:00 to 8:00 pm.

Written by Jeff Daniels, “Pickleball” shows us all the possibilities of middle-aged athleticism and the human spirit. In America’s fastest growing game, there are no apologies, there are no excuses, and there is no room for weakness. When four below-average players have an opportunity to compete in a local tournament, they must learn to overcome their limitations and find greatness in a game that has nothing to do with pickles.

41st Annual Quilt Show: Stars of the Foothills
The Foothill Quilters Guild “Stars of the Foothills” Quilt Show is a vibrant celebration of quilting artistry, showcasing a wide variety of quilts from traditional to contemporary. This race is a 5k fun-run and features a myriad of obstacles, including (but not limited to) a foam tunnel, maze, tire run, wall climbs, weighted-sled pull, a creek crossing, over and under, and of course a mud pit.

Maker Faire Rocklin & Sierra Preview Day
Maker Faire is a gathering of fascinating, curious people who enjoy learning and who love sharing what they can do. From engineers to artists to scientists to crafters, Maker Faire is a venue for these “makers” to show hobbies, experiments, and projects. We call it the Greatest Show (& Tell) on Earth — a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity, and resourcefulness. Featuring both established and emerging local “makers,” the Rocklin Mini Maker Faire is a celebration for all ages featuring rockets and robots, digital fabrication, DIY science and technology, urban farming and sustainability, alternative energy, bicycles, unique hand-made crafts, music and local food, and educational workshops and installations. The Rocklin Mini Maker Faire follows the “big” Maker Faire model of celebrating invention, creativity, and resourcefulness, but is smaller in scale and showcases the wonders of Placer and Sacramento counties and beyond!

The Auburn Symphony presents Masterworks II Concert: Amaryn Olmeda & Mozart 38! We’re bringing back one of our former Young Artists Competition Grand Prize winners, Amaryn Olmeda. She’s gone on to have a big international career, and we’re lucky to have her return to play Barber’s beautiful Violin Concerto. We’ll also feature Mozart’s Symphony No. 38 and a special spotlight on our wind section with Strauss’s Wind Serenade.

Auburn Symphony: Family Concert
The Auburn Symphony presents the Family Concert: Peter and the Wolf! Our Family Concert is always a favorite – this time we’re performing Peter and the Wolf, narrated by the always-charismatic Omari Tau. It’s a great way to introduce kids (and grown-ups!) to the instruments of the orchestra. We’ll also hear from this year’s Young Artists Grand Prize winner, Sumanth Ganga, performing Creston’s Sonata for Alto Saxophone and we’ll perform Dvořák’s Slavonic Dances No. 8, Op. 46. An Instrument Petting Zoo immediately follows the concert lead by Auburn Symphony musicians and Placer High School Music students. Open to all ages, meet the musicians and try out an instrument!

Auburn Symphony: Season Finale
The Auburn Symphony presents the Season Finale: Saint-Saëns: The Organ Symphony! Every year, the Auburn Symphony invites you to travel “down the hill” with us to the acoustically spectacular venue, the Robert & Margrit Mondavi Center for the Arts at UC Davis. On this grand stage, we present larger orchestral works bringing in special guests, choirs, and other unique programs. We’ll wrap up the season in grand fashion at the Mondavi Center, with two audience favorites: Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2, featuring Parker Van Ostrand, a Young Artists Competition winner, and Saint-Saëns’ Organ Symphony. The acoustics at Mondavi make this an unforgettable experience every time. A bus is available for transport to and from Auburn (the Auburn Public Library parking lot at 350 Nevada Street, Auburn) for guests who would like to sit back and enjoy the ride with no parking hassle! Bus departs at 1:00 pm.
