Each year the North Auburn Artists hold a studio tour over the Mother’s Day week-end. Members open their studios for visitors to come by on this self guided tour through the North Auburn, California area.

As the beginner bicyclists battle heatstroke, speed wobbles, and the greatest enemy of all cyclists — a chafed crotch — they must learn to stop fighting and ride together as a peloton. The bicycle serves not just as a means of transportation, but as a test; a way for each of these young men to see what they are truly capable of, physically, mentally, and emotionally. For years, Townsend led boys on 700-mile bike tours from Denver to the Grand Canyon, sleeping out under the stars.

Roseville’s “Friday Flicks” on this day will be showing the movie: Inside Out 2 (PG). Teenager Riley’s mind headquarters is undergoing a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected new emotions. Before you join Riley and her emotions on the big screen, experience Friday Flicks like never before with games, crafts and family-friendly activities designed to spark joy for all ages. Tickets for the Pre-Party are $12, while the movie showing itself is free. Concession Stand Treats: Assortment of snacks and goodies to enhance your movie-watching experience. Mark you calendars for May 17! Dress up in your brightest Be Well Roseville colors (pink, green, blue) and join us at Maidu Regional Park for the first ever Be Well Roseville 5K Fun Run! All participants will get a race bib, professional timing, and a Be Well Roseville finisher medal. Be one of the first people to experience the Be Well Roseville 5K. Pricing: $30 for early bird registration through April 15 and $35 after April 15!

Bring your own picnic to enjoy by the creek! Wander the preserve trails at your leisure. Special treats will be provided! Registration is required. Taylor Ranch Preserve Directions will be emailed upon registration.

The Rock Art Mysteries Tour is an evening tour that uses special lighting to highlight rare thousand year old petroglyphs, or rock carvings. The special lighting brings out carved details that are difficult to see during the day. As part of this tour, you’ll be able to get a closer look at the ancient art. So grab you flash light and see rare rock art like never before.
